Share your ideas at #smwldn 2012 Brainstorm Session, Thurs 26th July

smwldn brainstorm

To kick start Social Media Week London September 2012 in the most inclusive, collaborative and 'social' way possible, we're sending out an open invite to join us for a Brainstorming Session on Thursday 26th July 2012.

SMWLDN Sept 2012 Brainstorm Session

The aim of the evening is to generate ideas and hopefully help create some inspiration for your SMW involvement. We'll be discussing themes, hubs, topics and events - so get your thinking caps on and come and join in the madness! Make sure you RSVP so we can ensure there are enough chairs for bums & nibblies.

We'll kick things off with an introduction to Social Media Week: how it works, how to get involved, some of the events already in the works.

Then we'll split into groups with a slightly more freestyle approach for a series of concentrated 5-10 minute sessions exploring the topics and looking at ideas for events, and target audiences. Topics we'll be brainstorming include:

  • Advertising and Marketing
  • Business
  • Innovation
  • Olympics and Sport
  • Culture and Creativity
  • 'How To'

Who's It For?

The SMWLDN Brainstorm Session is open to all! Bloggers, digital peeps, active social media-enthusiasts (is that a word?) are particularly encouraged to come along. If you're thinking about running an event, it's a brilliant way to get involved and chat with others about your ideas. Check out the flipcharts from the last brainstorm in Feb.

It can be much more fun (and easier!) working on events with groups of friends and colleagues, so it's worth reaching out using #smwldn or @smwldn on Twitter, or the SMWLDN Facebook page if you're looking for collaborators.

A big shout out to our generous friends over at Ketchum Pleon who are kindly hosting the SMWLDN Sept 2012 Brainstorm Session.

We look forward to seeing you all there!
