Boom In Tech Recruitment

A report by KPMG and Markit illustrates hiring in Britain’s tech sector is almost at its highest for three years, demonstrating its resilience in the tough economic climate.

Business activity reached 60.0 in March, soaring above the no-change threshold (50.0) and close to the ten-year high of 60.9 recorded at the end of 2013, revealing business activity growth in the tech sector outshone the UK economy as a whole.

KPMG’s Head of Technology Tudor Aw believes the longer term outlook is positive:

"The data in this report point to a UK tech sector that is in rude health, and increasingly optimistic in its outlook on business activity and recruitment plans"

In March, Accenture revealed investment in fintech startups grew twice as fast as similar companies in the Silicon Valley.
