Description

2gether is a new annual event being held at Rochelle School – sponsored this year by Channel 4 in partnership with UnLtd, Involve, Ipsos Mori, polyWonk, Social Innovation Camp and the UK Catalyst Awards. It will bring together creatives, change makers and innovators from a wide range of fields – technology, media, entrepreneurs, charities, public policy, the arts, marketing and communications – to explore the possibilities and affordances of collborative technologies and how we can use them to solve some of the greatest challenges facing society.

2gether will showcase a roster of inspiring speakers and panel discussions, but its defining hallmark will be the collaborative contributions of the participants: framing problems, incubating ideas, and taking action.

The majority of the content of the event will be designed and developed by participants in advance of the event on our website, http://2gether08.com/

So please don’t just register for the event; help us design it!

Bring us recommendations for speakers, for sessions that you want to run, for problems that need sorting and for emerging ideas and innovations.

Confirmed speakers so far include

* Martha Lane Fox, Jon Gisby, Matt Locke and Adam Gee from Channel 4
* Julian Baggini, the philosopher and writer
* Ben Page, Chairman, Ipsos Mori
* Bill Emmott the former editor of The Economist,
* Umair Haque, the Director of Havas Media Lab
* JP Rangaswami from BT
* John Grant the author of The Green Marketing manifesto
* David Robinson, Council for Social Action
* Joanne Jacobs, Xenial
* Professor Peter Kawalek, Manchester Business School,

We will add new speakers each day…

As well as the official events, we will be actively supporting and promoting fringe events around the local area in various venues.

2gether08 will conclude with an evening drinks party on the 3 July hosted by Channel 4.
