Defining exactly what to expect at Thinking Digital isn't easy. We pride ourselves on the eclectic nature of our schedule. One moment you'll be experiencing a first UK appearance of Live Mesh (as attendees where treated to in 2008) and the next you'll be hearing about the science behind love from the world's leading expert.

But what you can always count on is getting the chance to hear talks by, and build relationships with, some of the most thought provoking, influential and inspirational figures you'll ever meet.

Speakers include:

-  Alex Hunter, Head of Online Marketing at Virgin.
-  Caleb Chung, the creator of the wildly successful Furby toy and now the recently launched robotic dinosaur, the Pleo.
-  Dan Lyons, tech columnist at Newsweek and creator of hilarious satirical blog, The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs. Dan returns as Thinking Digital's top rated speaker from 2008.
-  Johnny Chung Lee, a human-computer interaction researcher who shot to fame on YouTube by making a white board (and other amazing things) from a Wii remote control.
-  Hans Rosling, creator of Trendalyzer, which turns boring numbers into animations and interactive graphics.
-  Michael Shermer, the founding publisher of Skeptic magazine and columnist for Scientific American

The conference is run by Codeworks, a centre for digital innovation based in North East England.
