Wired City Reconnected is partnering with Cobbetts LLP to organise the first Leeds based 'collaborative' networking event for the digital, creative and ICT sector.
"The event will commence with a presentation from Emma Roe on “Protecting Your Business’s Intellectual Property”
Understanding your intellectual property rights is a critical starting point not only to minimising risks for your business, but also to ensure you are making the most of these valuable business assets. Emma will introduce you to the different types of intellectual property rights that might be available to your business and how to go about protecting those rights. Being accused of infringing someone else’s rights or trying to defend your own can be an expensive matter, so Emma will also look at practical ways of positioning your business to avoid this type of exposure."
This presentation will be followed by “collaborative networking” facilitated by the Wired City Reconnected team
Cobbetts LLP will be delighted to provide a free legal surgery for your IP issues. Emma Roe, an Associate in Cobbetts' TMTI team will be happy to deal with queries taking no more than 10 minutes, for which no charge will be made. The surgery will be an excellent opportunity to get advice on a ‘sounding board’ basis. The Wired City Reconnected events are ‘collaborative’ networking events aimed specifically at the digital, creative & ICT businesses interested in business solutions and collaborations. The events are facilitated by Les, Fiona and Immy, who will provide a bespoke matching & introduction service. By promoting you business profile to registered delegates in advance of the event...all requests for introductions are matched to business needs. So whether your business is looking to network to aggregate new business opportunities by offering a broader range of product / services to your clients, or seeking to meet freelance businesses who would be able to address current skills gaps or just looking to collaborate with others to meet your current client’s needs, then Wired City Reconnected is the event are for you business.
We are looking to attract 50+ businesses from the Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Sheffield and surrounding areas. We have also invited some businesses from Greater Manchester to explore cross Pennine networking opportunities.

Delegates are charged £15.00. However if you book online up to one week before the event delegates are only charged £12.50. This fee covers liquid refreshment, buffet and a free business introductory / matching service
