This month, GWT jedi Dmitry Buzdin joins the London HTML5 User Group for a discussion on how and to what extent Google Web Toolkit adopts HTML5's yet-to-come standard.

HTML5 is here! With the release of IE9 and Firefox 4, and inevitable banishing of IE6 and alike, the new era of Web is approaching rapidly. However there is a next wave of browser wars coming. Browsers treat HTML 5 features differently, some are early adopters, some introduce proprietary extensions.

In order not to get lost in transition period you should have solid tooling at your hands to help to resolve cross-browser problems and make your HTML5 development more productive. If you do not want to become a JavaScript Ninja and words "static typing" sound appealing to you still, you are welcome to learn how and to what extent Google Web Toolkit (GWT) adopts HTML5's yet-to-come standard.
