Sorry, just had this wonderful mental image of Mr. Foan in full
"Untouchables" gear, and wanted to share it with everyone.

ABC: "never stop fighting till the fight is done."

News update -- MegaStar has noticed and fixed the problem (but has left the
original votes intact)

Handy Hints!
We've detected that you've tried to vote really quickly...
This isn't good for us, and it isn't good for you.

We don't mind you voting more than once for your favourite Star Bird,
but we'd appreciate it if you bore the following in mind:

1) don't just sit there hammering your mouse button,
you'll only go and wear it out!...

2) don't bother writing scripts to vote for your favourite star bird
automatically.. we're wise to it! At the moment, voting scripts/programs
will still work, but they just won't have as much effect. If people continue
to use them (and we know who you are!), we'll get our technical thug to
make the voting script *remove* votes every time you vote..

That won't impress the star-birds!!

Click on your browsers 'BACK' button to have another go...

Forgive my planner's approach to this -- if they get their "technical thug
to
make the voting script *remove* votes", then why not start voting for the
opposition?

This reminds me of a story that went round earlier this year:

___BEGIN ANECDOTE_____
It concerns a match played in early June this year between Barbados and
Grenada in
some cup competition. Barbados needed to win the game by two clear goals
in order to progress to the next round. Now the trouble was caused by a
daft rule in the competition which stated that in the event of a game
going to penalty kicks, the winner would be awarded a 2-0 victory. (Yes,
I'm sure you can all see what's coming....)

With 5 minutes to go, Barbados were leading 2-1, and going out of the
tournament. Then, when they realised they were probably not going to
score against Grenada's massed defence, they turned round, and
deliberately scored an own goal, to level the scores. Grenada,
themselves not being stupid, realised what was going on, and then
attempted to score an own goal themselves. However, the Barbados
players started defending their opponents goal to prevent this. In
the last five minutes, therefore, spectators were treated to the
incredible sight of a team defending their opponents goal against

attackers desperately trying to score an own goal!

Naturally, the game went to penalties, which Barbados won...
