Sorry Dom, it's a hoax. Hoax viruses like these are just email chain
letters, and as a result the warning itself becomes a kind of virus as
people forwardd the warning to friends and colleagues.

FYI, a good place to check out this kind of thing is the 'Virus Hoaxes'
