Claire,

If it's 1 million a month for sure, then look to pay no more than 5p per
message MAX. Depending on a) who you use and b)what network they use to
send SMS services. To put it another way, if you were to have the
capability to do it yourself, then it would cost you 3p a message through
Vodafone then add a margin if it's someone else. I can put you in the
direction of people who can handle that amount of traffic. Mail me off list
if you want some names.

Subject: UKNM: SMS Marketing Costs

Quick inqiry: anyone have any ideas how much an SMS
marketing campaign for a year will cost? About 1
message a month would be sent out to 1 million mobiles
(don't worry, all would have signed up for the
service) different types of messages (about 20
different types, depending upon demographic) over 1
year. I know this is incredibly vague, but someone
must be able to throw a ballpark figure at me. I'd
rather this then people contacting me, saying "Give me
a call with your brief/ let me come in and visit you
and I'll get back to you with costs" though this would
be useful as well for an idea of the companies that
specialise in this. But the most important thing is a
very rough figure a.s.a.p (maybe one of your have
enbarked upon a similar campaign and can let me know
roughly how much it cost?).

Thanks, Claire (csimpson_ukatyahoo [dot] co [dot] uk)
