Responsive Enhancement

Responsive design is one of the most exciting developments to hit the web for some time. But there’s a common misconception that it involves merely slapping some media queries on to an existing desktop-centric site and labelling the result "mobile-friendly." Nothing could be further from the truth. This workshop will demonstrate that truly effective responsive design must begin with the content first, which is then progressively adapted to a multitude of screen sizes and environments.

£395 +VAT until 2nd August

Tapworthy Mobile Design

From first concept to polished pixel, learn to create a mobile app that delights. This full-day workshop teaches participants to “think mobile” by planning and creating app interfaces in tune with the psychology, culture, ergonomics, and context of an audience on the go.

£395 +VAT until 2nd August

Thursday 1st September 2011

Building Flexible Web Apps with jQuery Mobile

The workshop will begin by introducing jQuery Mobile’s philosophy of universal accessibility, the challenges and benefits of cross-browser/device development, and the patterns, tools, and workflows provided by jQuery Mobile to help you build rich web apps that elegantly address your users’ needs.

£395 +VAT until 2nd August

Influencing behaviour: people, products, services and systems

In this full-day practical workshop, we’ll try a novel approach to design and behaviour, using ourselves as both designers and cybernetic guinea pigs in exploring and developing a combination of physical and digital experiences. You’ll learn how to improve your own decision-making and understanding of how your behaviour is influenced by the systems around you, as well as ways to influence others’ behaviour, through a new approach to designing at the intersection of people, products, services and systems.

£395 +VAT until 2nd August
