Description

Free Networking & Keynote Speech Event   Design is not veneer.  It is not something which is simply added on to make something more pretty and certainly not to make something "pop".  Design is much more than that.  It is about creating environments and experiences that are fit and appropriate for the people that will use them regardless of ability or background.  By speaking to and including your users throughout your design process and tailoring for them, we are more likely to create experiences which go beyond being 'simply usable', but instead become a joy to use.  The result is that you (or your clients if you are a digital agency) reap the rewards with customers that are more loyal and more likely to share the great experience they received with others. In this meetup we will explore different approaches to making experiences better.  How can you be sure that your website or application is built in the best possible way for your customers, whilst ensuring that business needs are met? Speakers:  Barry Briggs is Senior User Experience Consultant at Amaze, a digital agency based in Manchester, Liverpool and London with a global client list. Beginning his career with some of best regarded agencies in Leeds 15 years ago, Barry then moved to William Hill to help shape their hugely successful online betting website before moving back to agency-land to work on a numerous high profile projects across a wide variety of sectors. In addition to being a usability obsessive and self-styled evil scientist, he spends far too much time in his quest for the perfect quiff.
